The southern land left in devastation from the radical technological advances of the Gearheads

Geography

Only a couple settlements still dot this barren landscape. Many rivers flow through and converge into one great lake. Unfortunately the water is contaminated by all the smoke and waste produced by the machines that roam this land, making it virtually impossible for anyone but the Gearhead or machines to survive here without the aid of magic. The once beautiful rolling hills that this land prided itself on have been paved away. Indeed everything has been paved away, hills have been flattened, forests have been cut down, and giant mines that seem to go forever down have been dug.

Fauna & Flora

Several great beasts used to inhabit this land. Unfortunately they have all been driven out or killed. The only remaining animals are a race of vulture like birds, charmingly called The Stigma, which feed on the corpses of anything that comes through, somehow surviving without water their number have grown out of control to the point where they have begun fighting among themselves in order to gain their precious food. Outside of the cities the stench of death is so bad and the contamination is so awful that the Gearheads rarely go outside the safety of their cities instead sending large robots to prowl for resources and to kill intruders... if The Stigma doesn't get them first.

Natural Resources

As the forests were chopped down and the water contaminated with blood and death almost no resources remain. However deep in the almost at the depth of the worlds core their lies a mineral called Drieaxium which can be used for great technological advancement. The only source of food is the corpses of dead things which The Stigma eat or The Stigma themselves.
