Hoarfrosts

Hoarfrosts are elemental blights associated with ice. They feed upon heat, stealing the energy that warms bodies and hearths alike. Their touch drains away warmth, leaving survivors of their passing cold for hours after. Additionally, Hoarfrosts can leave behind patches of greyish ice that have a similar effect. 
Hoarfrosts have a long, crystalline body that appears to be made of white, blue, and grey ice supported by 6 watery arms, much like those of an octopus. They can use these limbs to wrap and constrict a target, gripping them with impossible strength and draining away their vitality.
They tend to occur in large numbers, but are not pack animals so much as they are drawn towards strong heat sources.
