Ixarachne

The Ixarachne are a race of arachnid-like beastkin who dwell primarily in colonies within the Rift.  Some have ventured out to start their own colonies elsewhere, usually in dark deep cavernous regions.  A brood typically consists of one Queen, sometimes an entourage of up to a dozen royalty (several of which capable of becoming queens), and up to several hundred non-royal Ixarachne.  The Queen is the only one permitted to lay eggs, and spawning eggs without permission often results in exile from the brood.
Physically, the royal Ixarachne appear with a more spiderlike abdomen, whereas the non-royals are more humanoid.
