Londwynian
The Londwynian people tend towards innovation and experimentation for problem solving and creation. They pride themselves on their technologies, including the more recent use of steam power as well as other oil-based technologies. Primarily, the people of Londwyn view the supernatural forces as unreliable and unstable, favoring the consistent performance of mechanics instead. With a wide divide between the sophisticated society of Crownhurst and the working class of the Dread Hills, many Londwynians have very vocal and differing opinions and outlooks on where they come from and what their kingdom stands for.
The humans of Londwyn are an oddity to the rest of Palmydia. These enigmatic people hail from the far western coast, between the two great Elven nations, and have often butted heads with the Sylvan Elves over their expansionist ways and their tendency to view the natural world as merely a collection of resources to be utilized.
Londwynians have a very deeply held belief that their culture is the result of long and uninterrupted progress and productivity. Those that do not share their values are seen as less respected members of society. The people of Londwyn are generally good-natured, however, and often express a sincere, though still condescending, admiration for those cultures that continue to practice unusual ways of life to them, such as religious worship and casting magic spells.
Common Londwynian fashion ranges from simple slacks, shirts, and waistcoats to bustle dresses and fascinators. Throughout all of their higher fashion, the practicality of dress becomes less important than the awe an outfit can inspire in those around them. But in the simple day-to-day of the lower class, a pragmatic approach to the basics needed to remain warm in the cold, and comfortable in the heat is all that matters. Among all classes, however, hats and headwear remain a staple point of fashion.
