Oozes

Oozes are a type of arkanite often spawned from the miscasting of a spell.  The globule remains of spent components gain a sense of sentience and lumber around absorbing magical essence wherever they can find it.  The more they consume, the larger they grow.  Their color often dictates the kind of failed spell, but could also indicate the kind of essence they have more abundantly consumed.  In either case, they are incredibly weak and easy to deal with if done so immediately, but have the capacity to become insurmountable should they consume enough magic.
