Ungdom

An Ungdom is an Arcane Faery that harbors an greed for the gifts that the Fey had given to man. They believe the gift of magic is inherent in man, and that by taking select appendages they can steal that magic for themselves. They have a fixation with fingers, teeth, hangnails, the youth, and often take pieces from children to add to themselves. Those who have parts stolen this way will bear wounds that look unnatural and smoothed over. The Ungdom takes these pieces and melds them to their white, pink, and green pastel colored bodies; not dissimilar to how faeriekin may meld with nature. Ungdom will pursue wielders of the Arcane, those who have openly befriended, or worship the fey until their death. Unlike other Arcane Faeries are rumored to speak with those who do not practice magics and who willingly offer something to them. In their infancy Ungdom are thin and nearly diminutive creatures. At this stage they have little power and a short life expectancy if they do not begin gathering enough. As they gather more and build mass they eventually grow to around the size of a child. Ungdom that make it to this stage in their life are functionally immortal, and often become less active only coming out rarely to feed. Sometimes however they do not stagnate , and continue to grow even larger around until the size of an adult human. At this point, they grow heavy and brittle, resembling stone, and can no longer move well. As erosion eats away at them bits and pieces of their massive bodies fall off and become lesser Ungdom. Though enfeebled by their age, at this stage they have amassed an immense amount of Arcane power and appear to wield it in order to slowly take control of those they had stolen pieces from. Not much else is known about one of these creatures that reaches such a late stage in life, as it is notably rare.
