The Crystal Code

The Crystal Code is an ancient mantra, traditionally recited by a Jedi Master as his padawan completes the final task of the Jedi Trials—constructing a lightsaber. Some scholars suggest the Crystal Code originates outside the Jedi, with a force-sensitive group that was later absorbed by the Order.
The crystal is the heart of the blade. The heart is the crystal of the Jedi. The Jedi is the crystal of the Force. The Force is the blade of the heart. All are intertwined. The crystal, the blade, the Jedi. We are one.
