The Order of the Sith

Relatively little is known in the larger galaxy about the current formation—or, indeed, the location—of the current version of the Order of the Sith. It is known that, during the period of his exile, Luke Skywalker and his son Ben encountered members of their order, however. It is believed that they are a splinter group of a far more ancient formulation of the Sith—one that significantly predates the Rule of Two—that were kept isolated from galactic affairs until not long before their encounters with the Skywalkers. What they have done since then is largely unknown. An ongoing mission of a number of Jedi across the galaxy is to discover more of these Sith. It is presumed that this version of the Sith Order are still adherents of the Sith Code. All the members of this order seen to date have been human, though the Skywalker reports suggest they may have absorbed some Nightsisters into their ranks on Dathomir.
