Wardens of the Sky

The Wardens of the Sky have no formal organizational structure, and an uncertain membership. The tradition traces its origins to the Great Hyperspace War, more than 5,000 years ago. As such, it is one of the oldest interstellar Force traditions to survive to the current era intact. Though their existence is widely rumored amongst spacers, few believe the Wardens to be real.   The mandate of the Wardens is to ensure the safety of intragalactic travel for all sentients. As such, they operate almost exclusively anonymously, moving about the galaxy as simply travelers, or working as pilots or navigators. A Warden rarely acts overtly, preferring subtlety to behavior that would force them to reveal themselves directly. Believing that the use of high-power energy weapons such as blasters and lightsabers are inherently too dangerous in space, the Wardens have developed a unique unarmed combat style that draws heavily on their abilities in the Force for use when combat is unavoidable.   Wardens of the Sky operate almost exclusively alone. When they come upon another Force Sensitive they believe to be suitable, they may take such a person on as an apprentice, much as the Jedi do with a Padawan, but once the student is fully trained, they leave the Warden’s company to become another solitary operator.
