The old castle

The architecture is not that old, because it was in constant growing and it had the best technologies and materials from Enharae and its neighboring countries, but it was founded back in the beginning of the Enharan queendom.
It's main defense was being surrounded by the highest mountains and the widest river of EnharaeWhat, making it impossible to get in by any way other than the Bridge, which was made of common wood and would easily burn in case of need, a crazy strategy that was used more than once in the old times.
Currently, the use of the bridge is forbidden for anyone but the soldiers that guard the old palace, and the access is interrupted by a magical labyrint. The only way to access it now, is trough the new palace gardens.
For some, it's a symbolism of the present and the past, by how the current Capital is connected to the old castle, but the real reason for those arrangements is the need to contain the treat that still hides in the heart of the old palace.
