Underground Palace in Kren

After the old castle's fall during the first rain of rocks, the new home and office for the ruler was build mostly underground.

The Throne

In the core of the castle, deep enough to give intruders a hard time, but still close enough to the surface, you will find the Throne Room. It's original purpose, and the most common, is as an audience room, where kren citizens were welcomed to state their needs, demands or thankfulness to the ruler.
It's said that Akal used it as storage for food when they were planning for the fourth drought. For Emadia, it was the perfect place to display her collection of paintings, which may or may not include a portrait created by someone of The Settled. Oleadia turn it into his private room. In the time of Kamnaid, it was the place where he received and defeated his innumerable challengers.
But none of them even considered to get rid of the throne sitting in the center of the room. This room and that specific place in the center of it are directly tied to the ruler position in the original law, and the Law is the most importan thing for kreen. It was changed several times, though. Mostly when a ruler take the position for the first time, or when it was damaged by time or violence. Currently, the throne is a comfortable swivel chair with adjustable height and a convenient desktop is located in front of it.
