Seer Stones

The Seer Stones are a pair of magical orbs legend says were gifted to the elven people by the All-Knowing Ones several millennia ago. They are big enough to fit into the cupped palm of two hands and, whilst looking quite fragile, weigh far more than it appears they should.   Their power is unmatched throughout the world and can only be properly wielded by those of elven blood who have the Sight, those who are called Oracles . Elves who lack this quality can, depending on which stone they touch, either wind up with their minds scrambled by the power or can't make sense of what they've seen. Humans and dwarves who attempt the same thing wind up dead.   Curiously enough, elven Nulled Ones, providing they have oracle blood, can hold and even use them. Although, their abilities are a fraction of a true Oracle's power. One stone gives only glimpses and the other utters in whispers.

The Future Stone

The red and white stone was the most commonly known by the elven people and was the least lethal of the two. Whilst still deadly to those lacking elven ancestry, anyone bearing that requirement can touch it and see sporadic images of what is to come. However, Oracles have the ability to direct the focus of their visions. It was via this stone that the Oracles of old learnt of the imminent destruction of their homeland and were able to construct vessels to carry their people away.   The stone was lost when the splinter group of elves landed at Udynea. Curiously, the symbol of Niholian royalty looks oddly similar.

The Wisdom Stone

The black and white stone is the one even elves fear, for its lethality extends to any and all who do not possess the Sight. Many state it holds all the wisdom from past Oracles, but the truth is closer to the stone holding their essence. When an Oracle grows old, they willingly give their lives over to the stone so that future generations may consult them in times of need.   The stone currently resides in the ruins of the migrant ship, under the care of a fanatic sect of Heimatian elves who keep it encased and away from curious hands.
