Gelrime

Gelrimes are cracks in the plane that lead to the Elemental Plane of Water. Through it, water trickles, flows, or sprays into Kobos. These are found at the bottoms of cthonic lakes, at the source of springs and rivers, and they temporarily open up to unleash the worst hurricanes on Kobos.

These are prime locations for wells and irrigated farmland.

Manifestation

Permanent gelrimes typically glow blue and look like fractal cracks drawn in the air or on stone. Water flows differently from each one, either at a trickle or a steady rush. Most are freshwater but a few produce saltwater. These have columns of salt built up around the gelrime.
