Grofis

"Grofis, Master of the Hounds for the First King, studied the art of breeding. He bred new plants in the castle gardens yielding ever more fruit and beans every year, and he bred the hounds from the wolf. At the time of his death, he had created hundreds of breeds which endure. Grofis showed the potential of heredity, proving that kings truly are the best of us."   ~Canticles of the Demiurge

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The Grofis Hound is a motif that combines wolf, golden flame, and a royal purple hexagon (point upwards). It is considered a symbol of excellence in one's field, and as such can be found as a popular tattoo for commandos and hidden in the bilges of particularly deadly warships.

Tenets of Faith

Grofis teaches one to be mindful of the next generation; not just the world which this generation leaves them but their success and breeding as well. That is to say, one must be choosy with whom one has children with.

Holidays

Grofis's Wilding takes place three days into Newspring, marked by dawn to dusk celebrations. These celebrations are usually in the form of wild dance parties where young men and maidens express their interest in each other. A few weeks after the Wilding is an unofficial holiday, known as Grofis's Laughter wherein all of those young maidens who expressed their love perhaps overmuch get married to their new paramours before the baby bump begins to show.
