Pragmatism
Pragmatism – Once a goal is established, a moral person does what they must to accomplish that goal and preferably minimizes the cost of doing so. Self-interest should determine one’s goals, as competition increases strength overall.
The pragmatist is a dogged leader and an effective henchman. Conquerors often fall under this philosophy, as do many soldiers and mercenaries. Possibly more unexpected, pragmatists can often be found among doctors and advocates as well.
STRENGTHS – The pragmatist will often win contests based on their utter devotion to winning with as little sunken cost as possible.
WEAKNESSES – Pragmatists often refuse to consider the consequences of their actions after a goal is achieved.
EXAMPLES – the politician that spreads a nasty rumor about a rival, the soldier that would rather collapse a building than clear it room by room.
