Saty-Je'ak (Background)

At a young age, you were adopted by a Det-Je'akine veteran. In preparation for their intended retirement, they have been grooming you to take up their Haerkuh Ja'ek Heirlooms when you are of age.
You have spent your life training to take up the Majokuh as well as to take over for your masters' trade. A sense of duty and the Thet Hyje has been drilled into you daily for years. One thing is certain: you are ready for whatever comes.

Equipment: Upon adulthood, you are granted the Haerkuh Ja'ek Heirlooms.
Feature: The Old Ways You have been trained in the full use of all traditional equipment of your station, regardless of your chosen class. A psychological connection to your equipment and the conditioning of your training make this more than mere gear, however. Being parted from your equipment can cause nightmares, depression, and compulsive behavior, a phenomenon known as the Je'akine Curse.

Saty-Je'ak are the heirs to a vast and ancient warrior tradition, and this fact has been drilled into them not unlike a religion.

1 I idolize a particular hero of my ancestry, and constantly refer to that person’s deeds and example.
2 I remember all of the old grudges, and relish the opportunity to express them. Scalykind and goblinoids beware!
3 I stand in awe of the Old Masters, even though I can only interact with their barest ruins.
4 Nothing can shake my equanimity.
5 I quote tenets of the Thet Hyje at every possible opportunity.
6 I am as devoted as any to the Old Ways. But that doesn't stop me from incorporating new and interesting methods of violence. The battlefield is my laboratory.
7 I treat every meal as if it were my last meal, every beverage as my last libation, because any battle may well be my last and I am ready for it.

1 Weakness disgusts me. In myself most of all, but that is not to excuse others.
2 I am rigid in the Old Ways, and the tactics that come with it.
3 I have difficulty not facing problems head-on, regardless of the odds.
4 I am instantly trustful of anyone in my order.
5 I don't take prisoners. I won't. If they surrender, their cowardice is too much to bear.
6 An insult to me is an insult to all the Je'akine that wore this armor before me.
