Relsk
Many would have you believe that Reslk is a myth, of course, some people say the same thing about me. Just like me he is real enough, stole Maze Walker's boots you know, still hasn't given them back as far as I knowThe party was in full swing, merchants and nobles rubbing elbows with noteworthy guild leaders and the occasional bard or wizard. Torches and braziers cast merry shadows around the garden, and the wine flowed freely. The guards were from some of the same guilds, well paid and better equipped, so there was no chance that this mysterious thief would make it in to rob people as he had at other parties this past month. Every guest was screened, every item of any value logged and noted. Mages cast spells binding jewelry to the person wearing it, and placed a tracking spell on most items besides. Which made it all the stranger when a small kingdoms worth of treasures went missing. Even more strange, someone had stolen a half ton statue from one of the fountains, and one of the Prince Consorts prized mountain dogs.
Relsk, a name spoken through the ages with awe and trepidation by both his victims and those who look up to him. The rumored demigod of thieves is a kobold, average and non-descript for his race, at least to appearances. But appearances can be decieving. Relsk outweighs all others of his race, and most other races besides. The result of a curse cast on him long ago. He was turned into a gargoyle, transformed into living stone. Which, while making somewhat harder to be quiet, also has certain advantages. Turns out stone walls and vaults aren't very secure when the stones welcome the thief as one of their own. Not needing to eat or sleep also has advantages. It is said when scouting out a potential target Reslk can sit still for days. Same when fleeing from a heist. He stayed at the Grand Cathedral of Doceancot for 6 weeks after stealing the crown jewels, which he somehow managed during the coronation of King Thancred XIV.
