The whispering axe

of course I carry it with me now. I tried to bury it, and an entire dwarven clan was lost. I hid it on a forested island guarded by some of the oldest treefolk in the world, and the entire island is now a cursed land, feared and constantly watched by those kingdoms that share a border with it. No, it is best if I carry it, stamping out its influence when it rears its head.
Maze Walker is best known for wielding his twin axes, Shank and Shiv, but any who have seen him will notice that he carries 3. The 3rd axe is rumored to be one of the reasons he constantly wanders, never staying in one place for long. For it is cursed, or so they say. Some claim to hear whispers when he is around, seeming to come from his person (although not from him). These whispers can almost be understood, and the reactions to them range from greed and aggression to revulsion and fear.   Some say these whispers are silenced whenever Oak is around, although what effect a pet fox could have is beyond me. I will admit that though I have made a study of Maze Walker and the other Wandering Immortals no spell of detection or inquiry into sources fae, infernal, or divine has been able to get me any information on this axe, other than a warning that some things are better left alone, and that from a god given vision after I questioned a lesser angelic earlier in the day.   At this point I think i am better off leaving well enough alone, while there are other sources that I could tap for information, the state of Gibbering Gabriel has more than warned most of us away from them. Strange though, that most conventional sources avoid knowledge of that axe like a leper colony...
