Mega Clavus
The Clavus
They are used as beast of burdens and are usually docile and found eating plants.
They are able to drink hundreds of liters in a single setting and can go for weeks without drinking.
The Mega Clavus is an Important animal for the nomadic tribes on the plains, they are highly valued as they carry most of the tribes equipment on their broad backs. Reaching between 2.5m-5m across the shoulders depending on breed and age, they are some of the largest animals found on the plains. They have not truly been domesticated and every one needs intensive training from a young age if they are to be usefull for the tribe.
They are less common in cities as they are expensive to keep with several dedicated trainers - though they are sometimes used in arenas, where they are formidable fighters when provoked.
When travelling with Nomads it is important not to disparage their Clavusi- These massive beast, up to many men tall bear all of the groups belongings on their shoulders, and are often seen as just as much of the family as any other tribes member. To this day I am banned from the Yellow Eagle tribe for daring to yell at an elder clavus when it stepped on my bag an ruined my notes! ~~ Valikar the Wanderer
