The Infernal Incursion
The Dwarves of Gilgamesh's teeth used to be plentiful. They dwelled upon the surface and worked within the mines, building beautiful stonework and a rich culture around strength and honor. Their king, Jallis Ironhammer, was a highly respected leader and friend of many of the people. Until one day, a report came from the miners. There was an attack, a group of infernal called the Magnamodious. At once Jallis and his best warriors ventured into the mines to repel the threat. The vast mines, filled with twisting caverns and deep underground ravines, proved to be the worst terrain to fight this enemy on. Waves of fire would ripple down a tunnel, incinerating men by the dozen. Jallis knew what he would have to do for his people. Invoking the Rite of the Ancient Dwarf he turned him and his men to stone, now being able to fight on equal ground, the Dwarves and the Manamodious are locked in a never ending conflict. Jallis died not too long ago, ambushed by an Elder Balgoth , he fought tooth and nail to allow his son and battle-casters to escape. It's impossible to confirm if this is true, but those who were there that day say that they could have sworn that they saw him smile as he cut down the Balgeroth, even though he knows it would be last thing he ever did.
