The Nomadic Wizard Cowboys

The don't have a name, at least not one that is spoken anymore. For decades they were perhaps the most feared group in the entire world. They killed thousands over the years, moving in clouds of darkness and freezing over cities. Now they work by new terms, but still are not liked or trusted by the rest of the world.

Who are they?

A large group of nomadic wizard cowboys, and I would be more specific but it really is true that they don't have a name for their group. Walking around the Endless Desert with their herd of ghost cattle, they are rarely seen. Seeing them used to be a death senence, as they would choke the life out of cities and leave them frozen ghost towns.

Ghost Cattle

These rare and quite valuable cattle are both the primary trade and weapon of these cowboys. They feed on sunlight, eating it up as fast as they can get it and producing a cloud of thick and impenetrable darkness. This used to also be the primary weapon of these folk, having their herd surround villages and cities and then choking and freezing them out.

Master Gunslingers

While its true that they are wizards, that really feels like more of a half truth. All members of this tribe are magic users, its unknown exactly why, and they are trained in the ancient art of Sandcasting from a very young age. People who walk against these folk are rarely seen or heard from again. They are found buried under the sands years later, skeleton riddled with dozens of precise bullet holes, a unique and grizzly calling card. There are two main types of gunslingers:

• Deadeyes, who are shockingly accurate and are rumored to be able to blow a hole in a gold piece in total darkness from a mile away
• Lightslingers, who use the power of the sun to create guns out of nothing and shoot sunlight, they grow in power as the sun reaches its zenith

A New Leaf

No one is quite sure why, but these cowboys have changed ways. Now trading and cooperating with the rest of the world, often as escorts across the sands. History is not quite so quick to change its mind thought, as every country that has seen their ways before is wary to let them get any closer than necessary to their cities.
