A low-magic fantasy world that has progressed to the planet-wide metropolis state of their societal evolution. Most of the peoples of Kor'Dhuum have migrated to The City, however, a few outliers still remain on the wild periphery. These untamed places tend to shun The City for its decadence, disconnect with nature, and its disproportionate social strata. Nevertheless, they trade with The City not passing up the riches that come with it. The denizens of the City are the bulk of Kor'Dhuum's population; nearly thirteen billion people live in the City. The ultra-rich live in enormous plazas hovering high above the City while the middle-to-upper classes live and work on the surface. The poorest of the poor live in the ruins beneath the City, or in the Wastes outside the City's protective walls. The main continent of Kor spans several thousand miles spanning half of the equator. Construction of a geo-circumferential ring system began several hundred years ago and is nearing completion. Travel to and from local planets and moons is expensive but routine work.
