Barak-Kourvikoum (Barr-ack-Kor-vee-kume)

The Barak-Kourvikoum is the most sacred book within all the realms of dwarves.   In the Common tongue, it translates to "Shield-Wisdom".   It is revered as the most explicit instruction on how dwarves should live in the tradition of their ancestors, the Ancient Dwarves.   As the centuries have passed, many dwarves have rejected the Barak-Kourvikoum as a source of wisdom and spirituality.   The most animated in opposition to this book are the followers of Moradin and the followers of Berronar Truesilver. Many of the 'lesser' dwarven gods have also resisted and created their own books of wisdom, inspired by their god's values.
