Scents

Scents began life on the person of Foul Ol' John, a pirate serving on the crew of Emeraldus. It became so rich and multidimensional that it eventually developed sentience and then finally intelligence. Somewhere along the line, Scents became interested in mathematics, and thence in science and philosophy and far surpassed John's intelligence. In fact, as John's intelligence dropped due to an overindulgence in Scumble, Scents' skyrocketed. He is now the third most intelligent Smell in all of Korav, second only to The Great Pong of the Ivy Halls and his royal excellency the Prince Dolap of Pu. However, Scents does not know about any other sentient smells at this point.   Scents has been experienced by trained Aromafers who smelt it, but were unable to determine who dealt it. Given that they spend a lifetime training to be olfactory connaisseurs, this is a testament to Scents richness and complexity.   When it came time for Scent to travel, he reproduced by fission. A portion of him remained behind (like, literally behind), and his second self joined with a new host. Scents Effects
Persuasion and other Charisma based rolls: usually -3 (within 20 feet), -5 (within touch distance). Exception: overpowering or intimidating a target will have a chance to gain Advantage depending on circumstances. Consult DM.

Stealth: Always at Disadvantage. It is hard to sneak up on someone when you are stinky.

History, Medicine, Nature and Religion: MAY gain Advantage, since Scents is a polymath. Consult DM.


Stinking Cloud: Use an action to order Scent to attack will generate a stench equivalent to the Conjuration Stinking Cloud, but only in a 30 ft. range. This will affect all creatures in this range. You may do this 3 times a day. Scents is essentially a pacifist and may not wish to engage in combat.


LEVEL UPGRADES: Every time your character levels, there is a chance that Scents will gain experience too. You will be able to buy the following:
 
Smell Control: Scents will be able to change his scent on command. These smells may be pleasant or emulate a smell of your choice.

Penalty Decrease

Increase Stinking Cloud

Roll the dice and get a new ability.
