Mental characteristics

Personal history

Khronin was created by Mortag to help with the oversight of the Khuldings. He has seen to their education ever since by crafting clever songs, word-plays, and poems that he teaches them. Each of these carries some part of their ancestral history, even if presented as a light-hearted legend or simple heroic story, intended for entertainment by the fire in the evening. Every song, poem, or story has purpose, though it is often subtle.

Intellectual Characteristics

Khronin is relentlessly optimistic. When things look dark, he'll recall some story or epic poem that recounts a time when things looked bleak, but good nevertheless won out. He is also an expert in finding the silver lining in any situation, a cheerful trait that brings comfort, even in the face of danger.

Morality & Philosophy

It is the small things - a good tankard of ale, a well-told story, a simple song, a particularly well-made pastry - that bring about the greatest good in the world. These things refresh and restore flagging spirits, giving the hopeless and tired the resilience they need to persevere and succeed, even in the face of unimaginable odds.

Taboos

Negativity. Khronin does not believe in toxic positivity, but he will not accept defeatism, either. There is always room for hope, even if only a fool's hope.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Khronin seeks to spread light and knowledge.
