The Ranndau culture is organized on a stylized version of the Schwiedöu. Leadership is determined by combat, though these fights are usually ritualized and rarely to the death (usually concluded at first blood).

The Ranndau primarily venerate the following gods (Speech of Stone names in parenthesis, if different):

  • Kiseswa (Wel)

  • Ulsofyoi (Tallschösdt)

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

The Ranndau find snowy white skin, like the ice of the glaciers of their mountainous home, to be the pinnacle of beauty. Ice blue or pale gray eyes are similarly prized.

Gender Ideals

In general, leadership is expected to fall to males, though females hold significant sway in society. The males are usually warriors, miners, hunters, and leaders. Females are usually priestesses, healers, defenders of the home and heart, and child-rearers.

Examples exist, however, of well-respected individuals who defy these usual gender roles.
