This fine establishment is operated by Tipolus of Avul, the grandson of Beccuntia, the founder of the tavern. He prides himself on an orderly and clean business. Prices are 200% of standard, but he quality of his offering supports it.
The Whalesong Smoking Room

Hours of Operation: 3pm until 2am
Operated by Ak of Gne, a rock gnome from the Zepluns of Zalt, the Whalesong is a favorite meeting place of the merchant barons who make their homes in Avul. It is the unofficial headquarters of the Discreet Trade, and Ubvamr̂a spends every evening here. Prices are 110% of standard.
State Secrets

Hours of Operation: 4pm to 4am
This elite establishment is operated by Ter̂ua Appor̂ona, a beautiful half-elven woman. She isn't really a member of the nobility; her title is a professional conceit. She operates her business as a discrete (though fully legal) establishment. To gain entry, a patron must pay a 5gp cover and must bear the recommendation of another established patron. As such, few outside of Avul's elite have ever been allowed inside. Prices are double standard.
The Council's Guesthouse
Type: Public taproom within an innFare: Upscale Food and Drinks
Hours of Operation: 9am to 3am
Wealthy travelers often stay here, which means those they are meeting will come to the taproom to meet with them, on occasion. Beyond that, the leading lights of the city sometimes enjoy a drink in the taproom. The barkeep is Preid Auburnhair, a Robussin male with a cheerful demeanor. He is aided by his daughter Vloun and a rock gnome maiden named Sprert. Prices are standard.

The Seventh Pie
Type: Stand-Alone TavernFare: Higher Quality Meals
Hours of Operation: 11am to 2pm and 7pm to 10pm daily
The Seventh Pie is a tavern dedicated specifically to dining. It is open for lunch and dinner daily. The owner is Semecca Simua, a human woman in her fifties. Her staff of six servers, four cooks, a chef, and two scullions see to the flawless operation of her establishment. Pricing is average for the type of meals provided; lunch is 5sp per person and dinner is 8sp per person. Each meal includes beverages. There is no separate taproom.
Coqumbius' Cocktails

Coqumbius Vinbodeius Sodin operates this taproom, which was established by his eponymous father. The bar carries higher quality ales and wines. Pricing is standard.
The Slinky Stoat

The Slinky Stoat is an earthy, but well-run tavern that features games of chance, nightly shows at 8pm and 11pm, food, and beverages. The Shadowlords sometimes operate from here, but not frequently.
Northgate Bed and Board

Hours of Operation: Always Open
The taproom of Northgate Bed and Board serves meals and drinks to all comers. More intimate services are also available for those whose tastes and needs run in that direction. The barkeeps are Opba (6am to 6pm) and Giccatus (6pm to 6am). Food and drink prices are standard.
East Gate District
The Hall of Salus

Hours of Operation: 3pm to midnight
The Hall of Salus is owned and operated by Salus Caveius Vomuccus Bunebaccus, a Biati human male originally from Avcotun. His establishment serves only the finest foods (from 6pm to 8pm only, reservations required, 12 gp per person) and drinks (triple standard cost). Anyone may be admitted, but they must be dressed as befits his establishment (fine clothes) and must comport themselves with respect for the level of service and part of town. The richest and most influential members of Avulan society will dine and drink here.
Wharf District
Tirelva's Tits
Type: Tavern and BrothelFare: Drinks and Intimate Services
Hours of Operation: Noon to 4am
Tirelva's Tits is a sailor's bar. Mariners on shore leave can drink here (ale only, standard rates) or hire sexual companions by the hour. The place is rowdy and fights and stabbings are the norm. The owner is a foreigner named Yudhū, who claims he comes from the Great Desert.
The Grogbucket
Type: Stand-Alone TavernFare: Drinks and Games
Hours of Operation: Noon to 4am
Opened originally as an alternative establishment to Tirelva's Tits, the Grogbowl has grown into its own over the last decade. It is the property of Dunsa Shinyscales, a jovial male brass dragonborn. Though his tavern is rowdy, he actually runs it with a tight fist. His bouncers keep the rifraff from starting fights. Those mariners who look for a lively night free from trouble will frequent his place, where they can get good ale for good prices (ale only, 80% standard).
The Cambion's Corset
Type: Tavern and BrothelFare: Drinks, Entertainment, Intimate Services
Hours of Operation: Always Open
This tavern is also a brothel. Sailors in need of a little "relief," but who are not willing to visit Tirelva's Tits will often frequent the Cambion's Corset. Drinks are available for standard rates.
The City
Heezanhall
Type: Stand-Alone TavernFare: Drinks, Games
Hours of Operation: 4pm to 2am
A male rock gnome named Heezan owns this meadhall. It offers games of chance and drinks (mead, available by the tankard for 2sp or by the bottle (3 tankards worth) for 5sp. The atmosphere is light and happy. The ceilings are notably low, only six feet, so it is unpopular among taller folk like dragonborn.
Avul Table and Bed

Hours of Operation: Bread, cheese, and milk from 6am to 9am; Midday meal and ale from 11am to 2pm; Evening meal from 4pm to 6pm; Drinks from 4pm to 10pm
Awvia the Widow, a Dolobeian woman in her middle years owns this inn and personally operates the taproom. Patrons staying in the inn can enjoy a breakfast of bread and cheese and a midday meal of stew as part of their lodging. In the evening, she opens to the public to offer drinks at standard rates, as well as the evening meal for 5sp per plate. She tolerates no chicanery in her business.
The Dockhand's Dram

Hours of Operation: 3pm to 3am
This tavern, owned by Vagala Utpuma, a Calpian woman in her sixties, is the headquarters of the Silent Breeze. It is also a lively tavern that caters to a broad clientele. Food and drink are available for standard rates. There are two shows per night - one at 7pm and one at 11pm. Games of chance are available during all hours of operation.

The Council's Guesthouse
The Council's Guesthouse, despite its name, is not operated by the Council of Avul. Bomavus of Avul, a human man in his thirties, owns and operates it. He has a staff of twelve housekeepers, four launderers, and six security guards, along with the taproom staff (see "Taverns," above). The inn boasts twelve private rooms, which are available for 8sp per night and include taproom priveleges and laundry services. It also features four suites, available for 3gp per night and include stabling for up to three animals, a semi private room for up to three retainers and a private bed and bath suite, which includes taproom privileges, room service, and laundry service.
Northgate District
Northgate Bed and Board
This establishment is both an inn and a brothel. Brothel services are available through he taproom (see "Taverns," above). Ordinary lodgings are available from Teiccus Halfelven (whom many believe to be "Whisperwind" of the Shadowlords). Rooms can be rented by the day for 5sp/day/person, or they can be rented at a savings for 10 gp per month. Rent includes midday and evening meals in the taproom, along with up to three drinks per day.

Avul Table and Bed
Awvia offers eight private rooms for 5sp per person. She also has two nicer rooms with two beds each that run 8 sp per person.
