The High Tactician

The High Tactitian is the leader of Kiseswa's church, the Academy of War. They command the rest of the church in much the same manner as a field marshal in an army.

Qualifications

The High Tactician must have served as an Adjutant prior to appointment.

Appointment

Upon the death of the previous High Tactitian, Kiseswa himself will gather all three Adjutants before a congregation of the faithful at Nu Mîrosho Nûth Nysæthæs. When all are assembled, he will annoint one of the Adjutants to serve as the new High Tactitian.

Duties

It is the sacred duty of the High Tactitian to see that the least harm comes from the waging of, or the refraining from, war.

Responsibilities

The High Tactitian literally commands the entire Academy of War, just a would a field marshal. They are responsible for choosing the Adjutants and for discerning the goals, objectives, and directives that the Academy will pursue. They issue orders in that respect to the Adjutants, who carry them out.

The High Tactitian is also the liaison with Kiseswa, himself. He consults the god on matters of scriptural interpretation and doctrine, when they arise.

Finally, the High Tactitian is responsible for personally officiating one religious ceremony each month, to serve as an example to their junior priests.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The High Tactitian's ceremonial vestments are jet-black breeches and a matching tunic. Over that, they wear a bronze breastplate inlaid in intricate relief with a scene of Kiseswa dictating Nu Nushughu Myæs Nûth Rîchû to Ûth Necrurîchû in fine platinum.

For their official robes when not officiating, they wear a scarlet robe, fastened by thirty-six brass buttons (representing Kiseswa's Thirty-Six Strictures) down the front. The hems of the sleeves are embroidered in thread-of-gold with intertwining olive branches on the right arm and intertwining thorny vines on the left (representing Peace and War, respectively).

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Presumably, Kiseswa could remove a High Tactitian at any time for any reason, though this has never happened in the history of the Academy of War.
