The Pale Queen

The Pale Queen is a semi-mythical figure known primarily in western Thovan. According to Thovani legend, the Pale Queen created Koru when she fought Sahr and grievously wounded her, causing her spilled blood to congeal into Koru. As such, the Pale Queen's worshipers claim she is the rightful ruler of the world. The story makes her one of the handful of beings purported to come from a place beyond Koru.   The Pale Queen is infamous in the Haborian lands for allegedly killing the Prophet Mbakwe during the Radiant Army's invasion of Morgham, an event which led to the fracturing of the Haborian lands into rival kingdoms and the end of the faith's expansion. According to Morghai histories, it was Anura, a supposed mortal descendant of the Pale Queen, who actually killed the prophet. They do not mention the Pale Queen's presence at the battle.   The Pale Queen is the primary deity in Morgham and the White Circle where she is always portrayed as a humanoid whose exact features are hidden under a suit of bone white armor. In the Haborian lands she is portrayed as skeletal figure with a demonic visage flanked by snarling white panthers with forked tongues and burning coals instead of eyes.   In the Haborian lands it is said that white cats are spies for the Pale Queen.
