Dwagi Drinking Hall

Get drunk, get fat, and get beat up

Alcohol is passed around, bread is broken, food is consumed, fights are started. every good Dwagi drinking hall is described by that sentence. Only used in times of important celebrations, but to a Dwagi many things are important.

Purpose / Function

Dwagi gather in large numbers in the great hall to celebrate occasions with large amounts of alcohol, food, and games. Any type of celebration is accepted in the Great Hall but they are generally large settlement wide celebrations for important events. Important events include holidays, birth to a prominent member, death of a prominent member, victory in battle, construction of a new Drinking Hall, and many other reasons.

Design

Drinking halls are generally long and rectangular, with tables in the middle and drinks, and storage on the sides. They often times have multiple levels utilizing balconies. Some even have elevated platforms in the middle of the hall. The halls themselves are made of whatever stone material is available and wood. Some are made of just whatever materials are available. The architecture is always blocky with sharp angles.

Entries

There are generally multiple entries consisting of several small doors, leading to side halls, kitchens, storage, or other parts of the drinking hall. There is always a large set of doors as the main entrance, adorned with runes and markings. These markings and runes usually describe events that have happened.

Architecture

A Drinking Hall is built with whatever strong materials are available, usually consisting of stone and wood. In more prestigious drinking halls you will find more valuable building materials and even gem stones. A Dwagi Drinking Hall is done in the Dwagi style of architecture, sharp angles and straight lines, with large pillars supporting the structure as well as marking where the middle begins and ends.
