Birthdays

Celebrating birthdays is a common occurance in Krea, though varies a bit between the countries both in celebration and other customs. Below you can find more information on how marriage is celebrated.

Dessiara

People in Dessiara will celebrate their birthdays every year. These celebrations are often small and done with only a few close friends and/or family, and small gifts are oftentimes given to the birthday person. These celebrations do not get skipped as one gets older, and people who do not get gifts for others on their birthdays are seen as stingy or thoughtless. It is not offensive to not get invited to a birthday party, and in fact many nobles will oftentimes use these events to invite people they don't like just to make things awkward for the other person.   The King's birthday is a national holiday and people are required to give some kind of present to him on that day.

Terramis

People in Terramis will celebrate their birthdays every year. These celebrations are often larger for kids and smaller for adults. Gifts are given to the birthday person from those attending the party, though not required in most cases. It can be seen as offensive to not get invited to a birthday party, especially for nobles.   The royal family hosts a large banquet for their children on their birthdays in which many are invited.
