Children of the Heavens is a somewhat uncommon religion in the world, as it is mostly only found in
Wahvess. Those who live on the mainland who are of this religion are very few and usually individuals, and are fairly quiet in their beliefs.
Etymology
Children of the Heavens is a term only used by people of Wahvess. It refers to the fact there is an unseen power out there in the universe that commands life, and that
Humans are just one of the many children dependant on it.
Beliefs
Children of the Heavens, unlike the
Followers of Penta and Shen, believe
Penta and
Shen are aliens or possibly an old, extinct species of sentiant
beasts. They do not believe Penta and Shen are
gods, but do revere them as powerful. They usually think Penta and Shen either came to Krea long ago from another world or planet, or that they have simply lived on Krea for an abnormally long time.
Much like many other religions in the world, Heaven and Hell aren't really common concepts in Krea. Most do believe in a sort of paradise after death and in reincarnation, but in demons and angels no, nor do they think sins will toss you into torture after death. However, if you were that bad of a person, there are many that believe your soul will sit in empty darkness, never to reincarnate.
Practices
Instead of worshipping Penta and Shen, Children of the Heavens instead believe knowledge of the truth is what holds the world together. They do not often pray, as they have no one to pray to, but instead seek to communicate with the world itself and the beasts and creatures living in it. They practice their religion daily, and belive if they are good to the world, the world will reward them.
History
Children of the Heavens is one of the oldest religions on Krea. It was a religion started by the
People of Old and later adopted by humanity. When the War of Possession occured, other religions that worshipped Penta, Shen, and
Kamun started to pop up as well, and Children of the Heavens started to dwindle.
The religion never died, however, and became the official religion of Wahvess when the country was founded, as the people of the
city knew the truth of the war. The knowledge has been passed ever since, helping the religion to not completely die, however those on the mainland with similar beliefs do not know there is an actual name for the religion as the religion itself is only found in Wahvess now.
