There are many general customs in the world of Krea which people all over the world follow. These generalized rules are a social norm for the whole world and only vary slightly between locations.

Traditions/Norms

If someone wishes to know the gender of their child before they are born, a higher capacity water and light type are able to work together on the later stages of pregnancy to be able to tell if the child is a boy or girl. They do this mostly by checking for genitalia, and this method gives them a 95% accuracy rate within a month of giving birth. They can check as early at 3.5 months into the pregnancy, however success rates that early are down to 68%. Most people wait to check till a month or two before, so they can buy things for the baby. People rarely wait until after birth to find out, as they prefer to be prepared.

Average Standards

The average lifespan of a human (If dying from old age) is 125 in Terramis and 80 in Dessiara and Opirium. Many who end up being soldiers or adventuring however usually don't make it that old and die in their 40's. Shadow Beast usage doesn't change lifespans.

The average age for people to get engaged is 12-15, while marriage usually happens around 14-17 years of age. Nobles generally get engaged and married younger whereas commoners older. People never get married younger than 12, however arranged marriages between families does happen starting from any age. It is unlikely for people to get married after 25 as most people are either single for life or already with someone by that point, but it is still possible.

The average age for people starting to have kids is 18-22. People stop having kids when they reach 60, though people in Terramis will sometimes still have them after until they are unable to.
