Recognized Materials
Iron
Iron is commonly used for armor and weapons, though as Krea doesn't have a lot of the materials and knowledge we have, it is much harder to process unless you are a metal-user. Their iron is also heavier than ours.
With a more talented metal user the iron content is much more pure and faster to process, creating weapons and armor resistant to rust, however due to their purity causes them to break easier. Those using ingots not created by metal users rust and dull quickly and are often recycled due to their worn appearance, but don't break as easily.
Steel
Steel is fairly rare in Krea, as most people have not figured out how to make it yet. There are a few well know blacksmiths however who do know, but they will keep their secrets till their last breaths as if others learn of it, those blacksmiths will lose everything. Thus, steel is not used in building-making, and only for armor and weapons. However it is heavier and much harder to get and more expensive than iron, so most people prefer iron or blackstone.
Copper
People of Krea have not learned of electricity yet, as they have their own alternatives at the moment that are efficient enough for them to not seek it out. However, they do know of copper and its electro-conductivity.
Oftentimes they will use copper to make thin boning for gloves or shoes for lightning users, or will use it in weaponry for conductivity and storing
magic. They also use them for lightning rods to protect from lightning strikes in storms.
Gold
Gold is a common metal in Krea, often mined in Dessiara. It is oftentimes used in decorations or for gold Cha-ching. Since it is a softer metal, crafters oftentimes enjoy working with it. However, as it's not usable for weapons or armor for its softness, people of Krea value it less than other metals and materials. Because of its fancy golden sheen though, it is popular for household items. Crafters will also intertwine it with silver, leather, or iron for jewelry.
Silver and Platinum
Silver is much more popular than gold, though not as abundant. Silver cha-ching is more value than gold. Silver is also a color that religious folks compare to Penta's fur, and it is highly coveted by many. It is mainly used in decorations and household items just like gold, however as it's denser than gold but not as hard as other materials, it is also oftentimes used for jewelry.
Platinum exists, but is oftentimes mistaken as silver to many unexperienced blacksmiths, and is oftentimes mixed with silver in production. However because of its large difference in durability and melting temperature, it is recognized as a separate metal.
Called Dense Silver by the people of Krea, they use it for coins, weapons, and armor. However because of its rarity and difficulty for being told apart from regular silver, it's not exclusively used and is hard to find. People do prefer it to actual silver, however, but can't usually tell the difference until attempting to melt it.
Cobalt
Cobalt exists in the southern areas of Krea, and is mainly used for mixing with other metals and materials to make naturally bluish white armor, common in Opirium.
Craftsman have also discovered how to use it to make naturally green and pink armor, however it is harder a crafting method and not as popular.
Silk
Silk is abundant in Krea and is heavily coveted for being lightweight and pleasant to the touch. Because of it's tendency to tear with overuse, many people find the industry lucrative as those who tend to prefer wearing silk often buy tons of it just in case.
Silk is made from the silkweave, a plant with thick leaves and stringy innards people carefully pull apart and weave to make Silk.
Unrecognized Materials
Aluminum exists but isn't widely recognized, thus there is no name for it as it is an unknown metal with no uses to the people of Krea at the moment.
Lead exists, but is only known for its weight and is not actively mined. It is rarely used for items such as door stops, book ends, or other weighted objects.
Plastic does not exist in Krea.
Most other alloys are unknown, unnamed, undeveloped, or accidents.
