Apple Tree Bandits
The local government is concerned that the small village of Apple Tree Pond's annual wool shipment is late by two weeks, and is looking for someone to investigate.
Getting close, the party discovers that there is a large group of bandits blockading the roads around the village, and must find their way through the occupied wilderness and roving bands to get to town. Inside, Mayor Alveron is holding out as best he can, trying not to give in to the bandits' demands and holding the village walls against the hope that rescue will come soon. Interacting with Allaris The Ravager—the leader of the bandits—reveals that most of the bandits took up the brigand life because their farms were destroyed by goblins and they were not protected by Apple Tree and Candleflame like they expected.
