Life, Death
Alphy comes back and briefly tells the party of his debacle- Alphy and Pernicious split off to explore. Eventually, they end up in a bedroom that leads to a library. This is the room of the Highlord Feal-Thas, and he casts a charm spell on Alphy. Alphy grows friendly with him and is displeased when the party finds out and attacks the Highlord, eventually leading to his gruesome death. Alphy did not have any part of it, but was in the room - due to his 'new friend' being killed, he storms off with Diesa to the lower reaches of the castle. The party eventually follows, where they encounter a Remorhaz in a room. Alphy ends up slaughtering it almost instantly (much to his distress) but quickly grows enthusiastic about dissecting it. He gets distracted whilst the party observes and Diesa sneaks off, where she ends up in a white dragon nest. She is killed by the juvenile dragons there. Bryk and Alphy both realise something bad happened and run to find the gruesome scene - the dragons begin to chase the party, and Bryk ends up sacrificing himself to avenge Diesa and scare the Juvenile dragons. The party flees to an area filled with the frozen corpses of icefolk to recuperate. Here, they find 2 faces frozen in the ice - John, a dwarven barbarian, and Vinoth, a goliath monk. At this point, the party hasn't realised, but the Hammer of Khasis was with Diesa and has been lost in the dragon nest.
