This is the current timeline set after the cataclysm. An age of despair, famine, and darkness. The landscape of krynn was forever changed. Oceans became land, land became craters, and many cities were destroyed.
The Age of Despair is a time of famine and of evil. It is divided into the Time of Darkness (1 AC through 331 AC), when nations descend into squalor, and the Knights of Solamnia become a dishonored group, and the Time of Dragons (332 AC to now). Takhisis launches the War of the Lance upon Ansalon. When the War of the Lance erupts, the Inquisition is ready to fight back against the dark Queen.
During the time right before the Catacylsm, there were only 63 known Knights of Solamnia in Ansalon. These Knights worked for the good of Ansalon against the mounting problems arising from the Kingpriest of Istar. During the time after the Cataclysm the Knighthood was shattered, with no Grandmaster, High Clerist or Justice. Society blamed the knights for the cataclysm, being that they worship Paladine
The Dwarfgate War could trace its roots back to the period following the Cataclysm when Neidar refugees attempted to enter Thorbardin. High Thane Duncan, knowing that he did not have the farming capability to save all the dwarves, refuses to allow them to enter. By forcing the Neidar to stay out of Thorbardin, Duncan hopes that the Neidar can survive on their own, as he was aware of the limited supplies in his underground realm. In 30 AC, Duncan ordered the gates of Thorbardin shut to the outside world when the dwarves realized that the old supply routes of the world were gone. The stockpiled supplies under the mountain were dwindling and without the old supply routes there was no way to rebuild the stockpiles. Duncan knew that the Neidar dwarves would have a difficult time surviving outside of Thorbardin but he made a tough choice of sacrificing one clan instead of dooming all the clans in Thorbardin. The Neidar dwarves suffered a series of harsh winters that killed off game and caused early winter storms that ruined many of the crops. In 32 AC the Neidar hunger and sickened by a plague send a messenger to Thorbardin asking for aid. The messenger arrived in Thorbardin to only be turned away and his message unheard. By 34 AC the conditions had not improved and in many towns had grown worse. Desperate for help the Neidar dwarves sent another messenger asking for help. The messenger was once again turned away from Thorbardin without speaking with Duncan. Neidar thane Reghar Fireforge decided that the best way to resolve the situation would be to meet with Duncan and discuss the problems. In 37 AC Fireforge meets Duncan at Pax Tharkas because it was considered to be a neutral site. During their discussions Duncan is unable to lend any aid, which infuriates Fireforge. The meeting ends nearly in blows and without any resolution to the problems. In 39 AC the mage Fistandantilus, with his allies Denubis and Pheragas lead their army into Abanasinia. When they arrive they discover to groups, the Plainsmen, led by Darknight, and the Neidar dwarves, led by Fireforge. Both groups wanted to join Fistandantilus army for different reasons. The Plainsmen were driven by greed while the Neidar wish to avenge their honor. Also both groups needed food for the upcoming winter and believed that the mountain dwarves were hoarding it. That same year the combined army of Fistandantilus marched towards to Thorbardin. Fistandantilus, using the emotions of both the Plainsmen and the Neidar, planned on abandoning the army to obtain godhood at the right time. Duncan, unable to resolve the issue, is forced to go to war to defend Thorbardin and wage war on his cousins. The Battles : The Battle of Pax Tharkas : This battle was the first battle of the Dwarfgate War. The Army of Fistandantilus captured the mountain dwarf fortress of Pax Tharkas. This battle is remember for the treachery of the Dewar. The Attack of Kharas : The Attack of Kharas was the desperate plan of Kharas, hero of Thorbardin. He hoped that by slaying Fistandantilus that the Neidar would return home. His attack with a small group successfully wounded Fistandantilus but the mage survived do to the actions of Denubis. The Capture of Zhaman : The Capture of Zhaman was a key point to the war for Fistandantilus. Knowing that the portal that led to the Abyss was safely stored underneath the site it became a vital area to the wizard. Fistandantilus lost interest in the war following the capture of this site and focused on his upcoming battle against Takhisis. The Battle of the Plains of Dust : The Battle of the Plains of Dust was a deadly affair that occurred when the Neidar dwarves received word that their Dewar allies would open the gates of Thorbardin. Unknown to the Neidar the Dewar had made a deal with the Thanes of Thorbardin and the mountain dwarves attacked the hill dwarves as they marched towards Thorbardin. Prior to the conclusion of the battle, a magical explosion occurred wiping out both armies. The Battle of Zhaman : The Battle of Zhaman was the Dewar attempt to kill the General Pheragas. Entering Zhaman via using secret tunnels that connected the fortress to Thorbardin the dwarves attacked Pheragas’ personal army. Pheragas’ force and the Dewar were killed when Zhaman collapsed from the magical blast. Conclusion : The Dwarfgate War ends with the destruction of both the hill dwarf and mountain dwarf armies. Neither side was able to continue the struggle with the loss of both their forces and the gates of Thorbardin remained closed. The Plains of Dust was wiped barren from the magical blast and Zhaman collapsed and was renamed Skullcap for its hideous appearance. Legacy : The legacy of the Dwarfgate War was the hatred that existed between the hill dwarf and mountain dwarf nations. For generations following the war, both sides remained at odds over the feelings created by the war. The clans eventually would grow to tolerate each other but would never again depend upon each other for survival.
Evil gathers its forces. Armies are trained, and the weak are eliminated.
The companions leave Solace on an escort mission to Haven only to find out the dwarves who tasked them were kidnapped on the road. After saving the duo they soon became embroiled in a dark cult lead by a man called The Black Spider, looking to plunder the ancient wave echo cave for its legendary magical forge. The Dwarf who hired them being after the same thing promised a hefty reward for clearing out Wave Echo Cave. After many heroic actions by the companions, they defeated the cult, drove them out of town and were named heroes of Haven.
The Companions decided to split up, to find evidence of the true gods, and also to undertake their own personal quests. They agreed to meet again five years hence, at the Inn of the Last Home. On returning to Solace, Raistlin returned to Solace to find that a plague has struck the town. Raistlin tended to the sick and dying, and soon after was offered an invitation to take the Test of High Sorcery.

At the Inn of the last home they are given info from a strange old man about . the power of the old gods lie deep in Xak Tsaroth. In search of answers, their travels led them to the shadowed darken wood. There the ancient Forest Master, a unicorn, granted knowledge of the power in the form of the disks of Mishakal deep in the ruins of Xak Tsaroth. He bid them haste, for the enemy draws near. He granted them griffons to aid in their flight to the lost city.
After gaining the assistance of the forest master the Inquisition flew pegesi. Being dropped off just outside the the ironclaw forest the inquisition made its way through the cursed swamp of xak tsaroth, braving many enemies on the way. Descending down the collapsed city of Xak Tsaroth was no easy feat. Many horrors awaited the party down there. And a few unexpected surprises! That of a clan of Agar living in the city, enslaved by the "big bosses" dragonians and an Adult black dragon known as Onyx. Unfortunately Onyx guarded the treasure horde which held the disks. With a useless secrete map given by the high Bulp fudge, a gully dwarf named Bupu lead the way through a secret entrance. The party launched a surprise attack against the dragon. The battle raged and there were many close calls. Travok's brother Tortik taking a full blast of dripping acid fell. With a final push the Inquisition rallied a slew the dragon. Claiming their prize. After a daring escape from a now collapsing city the party made it back to the surface. Forever changed.

The Lord city of Haven and Gateway are attacked and occupied. The village of Qué-Teh is destroyed. The party makes a desperate ploy to distract the dragon armies to give the elves a chance to escape. They are successful and flee with the pax tharkas refugees south to thorbardin.
Thorbardin is attacked by the Red Dragon Army. The Inquisition defeat Verminard and drive back the red army with the help of the dwarves and elves. The hammer of kaharas is given to the hylar and unite the dwarves under the mountain.
The party, after retrieving Joe the horse and some excellent wagon upgrade set out from Thorbardin with a mission. To unite krynn against the dragon armies. Their first destination is Tarsis, the once fabled city of ships. Known for its extensive library, they hoped to find more info on artifacts of power to aid in their struggle. There they met Alhana Starbreeze, who asked for help in finding her father, King Lorac of the Silvanesti elves, help in forming a counsel of races, as well as the ancient dragon orbs, powerful artifacts said to control dragons. In hopes to use them in the fight against the advance of the dragon Armies and the unstoppable destruction of the dragons, she urges them to the fabled land of Silvanesti.
The Party Found the field, The vast rolling green hills filled with flowers and a Massive tree in the distance called to them. Several people could be seen waling in a dazed miles around. Feeling drawn to the music in the air, and a curious Cathal, they were instantly whisked away to the feywild. A beautiful yet dangerous place. Filled with new and exciting things, simply overflowing with magical energy. as the party wandered in the song filled world, fighting against the longing pull. They stumbled to a Satyr, named tumnas, who was able to lead them to there missing druid, who headed to the tree of songs. Not without its troubles, the path almost lead them into the mouth of a massive eldritch being. Cathal has no comment on the matter. The tree appeared sickly with red vines and liked to consume things, recently including their druid. A battle of life and wits ensued, during which Cathal becoming more at one with nature was able to defeat the trees many riddles. The parasite was burned away with holy fire. The thankful druid told the party of her learnings. How the tree has a twin in the material plain at behest of a missing dryad. The Inquisition made the decision to not sever the connection with the missing dryad, tasking the white robed Kielith to find her. After the tree gave cathal a wonderful gift, the party was sent home. The Archway staying open
After leaving the tree of songs, the party come upon two mounted creatures in a joust.. In the desert. Not being nearly the strangest thing they have seen the aproarch the bout. One a centaur and the other a mounted humanoid. It appears the human can hold his own as he easily wins the match His name is Ansel Uther. A very optimistic fighter and a believer and champion in the gods paladine and sargonnas. After brief introductions Cathal and Ansel have a shocking moment realizing they are both fond of "dragon riders" Raistlin shakes his head. The inquisition had accepted the request for Ansel and his funny horse Jeremy to join our mighty party.
The party informs the quest giver, Guardsmen Cole, that his lost sister is safe and off to meet up with her order to search for the missing dryad. They each obtained 500 gp and as apart of the adventurers guild they each receive a necklace of wood. The "New" adventures guild party named the inquisitors with their copper leader named lathac (cathals wise coverup). The party decided to explore the ruined tower of tears, after massacre of a poor harpy nest, a brief time in the shadow plane, and receiving a strange but seemingly powerful deck they discover a secret entrance to the basement of the tower, now ripped from its hiding place and firmly set in the material plane.
Down below the now named tower of Orthanc, The party finds the beautiful Spider Queen Lúthien, and through Cathal's natural attunement to spiders, befriended her. As a request, she sent them on a quest to slay the bane of all spiders. This took them into the portal at the bottom of the cave system, a tear in reality to the Plain of Fire. The Inquisition encountered their foe, a giant Devil Basilisk, in pitched battle with Multiple Fire giants. The battlefield strewn with stone corpses, and looking ill for the giants, the Inquisition sprang into action. After a fierce battle, The Devils Basilisk was slain. The party found new allies and a new quest from the chief of Fire Giants they had saved, Lord Ragnar. Their foe slain, they returned to the spider queen triumphant. New items in hand, they set out on their quest to save a king, in the lands far east.
The Inquisition arrived in Stone Rose in the Plains of Dust. The village was in ruins, yet a family still lived there. The Silvanesti Elf Irein and her children took ill fleeing from Silvanesti forced to stop in the Stone Rose. Travok called upon Mishakal to cure double lung ammonia in both the children. Ansel deepens connection with the gods after the party slew a death soldier in mutual combat in a mausoleum of Hiddukel, the god of trickery. After the victory the death soldier gives the party an amulet inviting them to a castle in Nightlund to meet with Lord Soth.
The Party made its way to the ruined city of Wallach. Once prosperous it was destroyed by an earthquake. In the villages center they found a beautiful vallenwood tree standing tall even in the middle of the winter, maybe the last of its kind. Giving the party hope, that one day then can use this tree to replant and rebuild the now burned city of Solace. Ansel has a vision of the god of undeath Chemosh, making him curious to learn more of this god, and its connection to his past.
The Inquisition actively avoided the dead city Purstal, hearing rumors of no one ever returning from venturing there, they make a mental note to return one day when stronger. The city is said to hold many powerful objects which could greatly aid in the fight against the dragon armies.
The party, along with The Silvanesti Princess and her Honor Guard of Solamnic Knights finally arrive at the borders of the Forest. Making haste them quickly follow the river to the capitol Silvanost. The trees of fabled Silvanesti have hideously changed. The soul of every tree appears to be trapped in torment, imprisoned within the trunk. The twisted branches of the tree are the limbs of its spirit, contorted in agony. The grasping roots claw the ground in a hopeless attempt to flee. The sap of the living tree flows from huge gashes in the trunk. The rustling of its leaves is a cry of pain and terror. The trees of Silvanesti weep blood. Cries of pain and anguish can be heard in the distance and the smell of death and blood are in the air. A green fog floats through the trees above and settles a foot off the ground slowly crawling across the ground. Here and there dark forms move through the fog causing it to swirl in agitation. After many trails, fights, and deadly or sad encounters, the party freed an elf by the name of Waylorn Wyvernsbane in the basement of the Tower of Shalost. Incased in crystal for thousands of years, he aids the party by giving them valuable info, and then sets off on a journey of his own.
Now on the shores of Balifor, The Inquisition traveling north saved two individuals near Seahall Tower from a brash young black dragon. The two people were Kronn and Serinda. Kronn is a member of the thieves guild and Serinda is a member in the assassins guild. They both wished for aid in saving Port Balifor in their own way. The animosity between the two was intense. Seems Zerg of the assassins guild has taken his third of the guild and now aid the black dragon army, much to the surprise of the former assassins guild member Moordinand. New Info on hand they party made its way to Port Balifor, where they found the city under harsh rules via the black dragon army, the city holds a weapons ban, beats its people, and takes all the food.
