Leaves from the tobacco plant are dried and rolled into cigarettes and smoked. Smokes are almost never sold individually, and are instead sold in packages of 20. Alternatively, the tobacco may be rolled into cigars, which may cost up to 10x as much as a regular cigarette and come in boxes of 10.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
- Initial: As you take a drag, you take 1 point of Constitution damage.
- Secondary: Endorphins flood your brain, restoring your mental and physical energy. You regain 1d8 Temporaly Hit points. If you are fatigued, the condition is removed. If you are exhausted, the condition lessens to fatigued (1d6).
- Side Effects: You feel a soft buzzing in your brain, filling you with energy and pleasure. You gain a +2 bonus on saves against sleep and fear spells and effects. The buzz is short lived, however, and only lasts for 1d10 minutes before fading.
- Overdose: None.
- Withdrawal Effects: You feel very anxious, and are shaken. You also are very irritable, and take a -2 penalty to social skills.
- Junkie: You can ride the high for much longer, with the effects lasting an hour instead of 1d10 minutes. The bonuses against fear and sleep effects are doubled.
