Celestial Co-ordinates

When travelling through space, the words "north" and "south" carry little meaning, so a different coordinate system is employed. The axis of the Sun's rotation is taken to be the Z axis, such that most celestial bodies rotate clockwise. The X axis points towards the brightest star of the constellation of Eldath, which remains (relatively) fixed in the sky due to its distance from the Kuri solar system. A right-handed co-ordinate system is used. Therefore, Celestial North means the positive Y axis, and Celestial East means the positive X axis.
