Rindai
Spanning an impressive 16 stars in formation, Rindai is a constellation well known to every member of Kurinkonin society. The constellation's long annual journey across the sky has distinguished it from other star formations, even before its association with the ruling party. Rindai is visible starting the last week of spring until the first week of winter, taking more time than any other constellation to complete its cycle.
Geography
Starting in the western hemisphere and traveling east, these stars form the visage of a man moving forward while holding a walking stick in its right hand. The star at the top of its staff is red in hue, setting apart from the other stars in the constellation and making it easy to identify by anyone observing the night sky.
NAMING
The origins behind Rindai's name is an ancient but simple tale. As astrologists of ages past explored the sky and the secrets it held they observed this constellation intersecting with a large number of other star formations during its nearly year-long voyage. Due to this they decided to name this composition of stars 'Rindai' which means 'traveled' in ancient Kurinkonin.HISTORY
Rindai's most notable history lies in its association with the sovereign of Kurinko. With origins as a country of warring states and divided clans it took a person of exceptional intelligence, resolve and charisma to unite them under one banner. It was Hotaru Anah who set out to accomplish this feat, traveling to every corner of the country to parley between the scattered tribes in the hopes of reconciling their differences. It took years to accomplish this task but eventually Kurinko was united and it was the clans themselves who unanimously decided to establish Anah as their leader. During the coordination of their new sovereign, Rindai had just begun its eastern journey for the year and it was quickly realized that something was different about the constellation. The star that sat at the head of its staff had turned red. Because Anah had spent so much time traveling to unit the clans the people of Kurinko saw this as divine affirmation of her right to rule and ascribed the title "The Rindai" upon her. Since then any who have come to rule over to Kurinko as been referred to by this name.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
