Imperial Guard

The Imperial guards are part of the Imperial military, more along the lines of being the MP division of the military. Undergoing special training and condition during the normal military training program that is specially designed for turning normal soldiers into designated imperial guards. They continue to practice drills, training hard and making sure they are always ready for any threats against the citizens.
They take their duties seriously as it is up to them to defend the home front, to ensure the safety of every citizen, to stand watch over the people and make sure they remain safe. They defend businesses, homes, citizens, lands and the way of life that the Imperial citizens live day to day. No matter if it's breaking up a drunken fist fight at the tavern, helping a child find their parents or fighting off a monster that gets too close to one of the villages, they are always there to defend.
They have sworn an oath to uphold the law, to bring the guilty to trial, to ensure the safety of the citizens and to protect that which they have been assigned to protect. This oath is never broken by them, and they are willing to die in the line of duty to protect others.
They are the police, the security guards, the enforcers, the law bringers, the defenders, the crime investigators, the jailers, the backbone of the court system and the last line of defense the people have. What they lack in humor they make up for in dedication to their post.
It's well known throughout the Empire that trying to bribe an imperial guard is never a good thing, breaking the law will always have consequences, they will never rest till lawbreakers are brought to justice, brides and talking your way out is never an option with them.
