Kovarian Empire
The Kovarian Empire is the largest known kingdom in the world, mostly a human nation with some non-humans living within the kingdom. They are quick to go to war and have conquered plenty of territory in the short amount of time they have been here compared to the other long-lived races of the world.
In ancient times when humans where still new to the world, the other races treated them as pests and no more than vermin to kick to the side. Banding together with one family leading the humans to a safe haven with the only concern of defending the human race.
With humans being able to populate so quickly, they soon started to amass a grand army for defensive proposes. Building, growing and becoming stronger under the guidance of that one family as the leadership was always passed down to the next heir in the blood line.
After only a few hundred years, their safe haven was no longer suitable for their needs, and they advanced forward with no regards to the other races or even the land itself. The vast human armies marched forward conquering everything before them without mercy.
Kovarian became the biggest kingdom in the short amount of time as far as history goes. Soon other races begin to join them and lived within the empire, but they were always treated as second class citizens. Even to this day racism is a problem, as most humans view the other races as inferior.
Now the Kovarian empire has the largest navy ever seen, their armies stretch wide over the vast empire guarding borders and upholding human law to everyone. Punishment for law breakers is swift and sometimes unjust but the law shall be upheld by any means necessary. One of these laws is all religion is banned and outlawed expect for the one single religion of the humans, that of the Sun Goddess.
They tend to be very superstitious, look down upon magic and any magic needs to be registered at one of the Royal Administration Offices. Magic is not allowed unless one has the proper permits. Humans are still fearful of the unknown and of the older races with their ancient magical ways.
When visiting the Kovarian Empire, it is strongly advised not to public show magic, religion or non-human racial features as it could lead to trouble. When entering the Empire, you are required by law to register at the closest administration office, non-humans are to be registered and cataloged along with any magic or magical items.
Recently there has been rumors that the newly appointed King is already talking of war and planning world domination to right the world once and for all. The peace treaties with the other races and kingdoms are already thin and shaky at best as it is now so it won't take much for war to start again thanks to the human desire for more land.
