Sun Goddess

Around the time of 3250BI, primitive humans were enslaved within a world of darkness with no hope of survival. Most of their time being spent mining for resources, building structures and under consent abuse from their captures. Each passing day was slave labor, tortured for entertainment, experimented on in the most horrible of medical experiments and always surrounded by the cruel darkness. Until humans started to look up at the sun marveling at its warmth, its live giving abilities and keeping the darkness at bay. It did not take long until these humans started to worship the sun, finally finding something to give them hope, something to counter all the darkness in their world.
The Shinzoku seen the opportunity within this, as they needed positive energy in order to survive on this strange world, they started to give the humans little miracles here and there enhancing that human belief in the sun. Hence the Sun Goddess was born into the world, the humans always believing that the strange magical things happening that helped them was indeed their Sun Goddess, but it was merely the Shinzoku acting in secret. In the process this also started to slowly weaken the sleeping god as more negative energy was turned into positive energy.
Somewhere around 3000 BI, the human race had proclaimed the sun as their Sun Goddess, the one and only true deity of the humans. Always hidden in secret, they started to keep holy symbols of her loving light, worshipped her and turned to her in their darkest hour of need. It did not take long for the Zhethrh'ithar to discover this new religion which angered the Sleeping God immensely as he required as much negative energy as he could consume. Humans being caught with any sun symbols, worshipping her or even making mention of her where tortured for days at a time without mercy and only allowed to die after they betrayed others that worshipped her.
As the humans started to raise up against this in full open rebellion, they soon gathered all the other races together for the salve revolts in 2000BI. The humans now openly worshipping and displaying the holy symbol of the Sun Goddess fought back against the Zhethrh'ithar. After one human family in particular was able to convince the Grimfangs and Vampyre to join the fight, they united into one solid group to not only fight back but to wage war for all of their freedoms.
During the course of the next 750 years, all the races banded together fighting against the Zhethrh'ithar and their unholy dark god. The landscape was soaked in blood, bodies decayed in piles around the region and each minute of each day was a living hell of fighting with whatever they had just to keep alive. With so many humans calling out to the Sun Goddess, so much energy being turned and changed, an extraordinary event took place within the Sea of Choas as for the first time something stirred on a cosmic level. The Golden Mother of Darkness even grinned to herself but shrugged uncaring either way and continued to watch as something was born deep within the Sea of Choas and answered the call of the humans. A freshly born entity reached out and give everything she could to help these poor lost children of light, this alone was enough to lead the humans to the great escape of 1250 BI.
Even to this day, the Shinzoku and the Mazoku are unsure of what exactly happened on that day. Was it the highly unpredictable and neutral Golden Mother of Darkness interfering? Was it the Sea of Choas giving life a fighting chance? Was it outside interference? Why and how did this new energy come into being?
From that moment forward, all humans were convinced without a shard of doubt that their Sun Goddess was the only reason for their escape, their survival, finding the new land and know deep inside of their human hearts that its only because of the Sun Goddess that any of them are alive today. The humans also realize that they are completely surround by darkness and that only the light can keep that darkness at bay, without the light the world would be consumed once again by that darkness. All humans process that feeling inside of them that the only way to prevent the world falling back into darkness is to fight it back with the light.
It is understandable with the human culture has the Sun Goddess so deeply imbedded into all that they do. The humans shall always keep the light, law and order in their kingdom because there is no way that they shall ever allow that darkness back into the world. Humans will die fighting instead of allowing the world to be consumed by that which has already happened once before in their history. In today's world, humans live a full and free life which is guarded dearly by the human empire. Of course, no race is perfect as some humans do fall to the darkness, to greed and selfish reasonings but as a whole the human race are the guardians of the light.
