Derrick
Derrick came to the village of Galtar in the days following hte events of The Great Storm. While the village was rcovering from the losses there, he tried to sdo his part by taking many of the village's children under his wing as students, passing onto them the knowledge of history and the magics, mathematics and religion. Itis known that before he came to Galtar, he was a scholar of sorts, a "Field Scholar" as he calls it. He's made a bit of trouble in the years since his arrivel, going so far as to ecourage the village children to test the limits of laws and rules the seem unfair or unjust, brining a spirit of "Free Thinking", as he would tell their parents. Still, the village seems a bit brighter when its children gather in front of his hut to pay rapt attention to the story of how an old, mad king was overthrown by a small group of tenacious rebels, or to snooze in the fields while he covers the finer points of arcane geometry.
He has tales from all over the world, from Ashiara to Ofenor, and while his stories lack flourish, they have great detail.
