Bittleberry
Bittleberry is a small shrub that grows in the eastern plains and hills of Kyrnia. It produces small, sweet, off-white berries that are used to make jams, juices, and alcohol. The Bittleberries mature in late summer and can be harvested from then until the first frost of the season. Many birds and small animals seek them out for food, and wild oxen often eat the whole plant along with the berries.
Bittleberries are very sweet and are used in jams, pies, and other baked goods, and as sweeteners for other dishes. When mashed and fermented, they make a very sweet wine that is usually served watered down to cut the sweetness.
