Chal
Fermented camel's milk popular among the desert tribes of Zelcel and Drogol. It is slightly bubbly, white, and has a sour taste. Traditionally, chal is made and stored in container made from a camel's stomach. It is typically kept warm which continues the fermentation process, and increases the sourness of the drink. Before serving, it is often buried in the sand for a few hours to chill and stop the fermentation process.
