Kuyo Nuts
The Kuyo Nut is native to the southern tropical forests in Sernas, and in other parts of the forest that stretch outside of Sernas. The nut is used in medicine. First, as a drink, the nut is roasted, and ground and seeped in hot water for a few minutes. The drink, called Kuyo, is effective in relieving pain. The ground nut can also be made into a paste to use topically as an analegesic. Finally the nuts can be eaten roasted and several nuts consummed in such a fashion will cause unconsciousness, so it is used this way when surgeries, or the setting of broken bones needs to occur.
