Marchoness

The rank of Marchoness is the third level of hereditary titles recognized in most of Kyrn and in particular the Empire of Kyrnia. It ranks above Count and below the Duke in the order of precedence. Marchoness are addressed as "Marchoness", and "Your Ladyship". The title of Marchoness, like other titles in the Empire is associated with a land grant. It is the passing of the land that passes the hereditary title. The spouse of a Marchonessis given the honorific title of Marchon. The male form of Marchonessis Marchon.
There are no "court" Marchoness. All Marchoness have large land grants associated with their titles.
