Twitch Dignugget

Twitch Dignugget did not start out wanting to be the greatest living explorer of Kyrn, but she is happy with the fame and prestige that it has brought to her and her group of explorers, The Higglepoof Heroes.
    Twitch started out her early career hanging around the miners' bars in Argate.  She worked as a tavern girl, and occasional thief, as the drunk miners often did not even notice they woke up a few coins shorter than what they had when they went to sleep.  Twitch never took too much as she didn't want anyone to raise a stink about it. Occasionally, one of them would wake up and complain. and then after searching the tavern, a few of the coins would be found and returned to the patron.  After few years of getting good at removing coins from bar patrons, she was noticed by a group of adventurers that had stopped in the bar for a drink before heading off into the mountains to explore.  When the adventurers told her stories of gold and gems, she asked if she could join them, and they agreed, as long as she returned the money she had taken from their cleric, which she did.
    During that first adventure, Twitch stayed to the back and watched a lot, and she did run away when the party was attacked by orcs in an underground cavern, but after a few weeks of adventuring, the adventurers returned to Argate and dropped her from the group. They did not need someone who did not fully contribute to the effort. Twitch was heart-broken, she was getting used to the adventuring lifestyle, and her share of the treasure they found was small, but it was still more than she had made in a year at the tavern.  She decided that she was going to go adventuring again, and she started recruiting adventurers to join her adventuring party, the The Higglepoof Heroes, named after her grandfather, Walder Higglepoof, who once fought a goblin and won.
    After she had recruited several adventurers, mostly by showing them the treasure she had from her share, and promising them she knew were a lot more it was located, she and her band set off for the mountains. She led them to the same places that she and her former group had gone, but did not find any additional treasures.  As her party was starting to complain, and suggesting that they return to Argate before they ran out of food, Twitch talked them into three more days of exploring, which would leave them just enough food to get back to Argate. Reluctantly, they agreed. The next morning, Twitch led them into a ravine that did not seem like a place anyone would ever want to go. Several of the Higglepoof Heroes, slipped on wet rocks, and twisted ankles, one fell and broke an arm. As they sat down to wait while the arm was being splinted, Twitch wandered off a bit.
   The way she tells it, she had a feeling that something was close by and went to look. Some people think she just had to make some water and stumbled across it, but either way, when she came back to where the were resting, she was carrying a small chest. When they opened the chest, it was full of coins and jewelry.  The party went back and explored the area and found what was a burial chamber that had been exposed in a rock slide, and many valuable treasures were just lying about the ground.
    When they made it back to town, and news spread of the vast wealth that Twitch and the Higglepoof Heroes had discovered, they were beset with requests to explain their adventures. Soon stories of them exploring vast underground caverns, and fighting off hordes of orcs and other denizens of the deep were being told in all the taverns in Argate.  Twitch encouraged the tales, and often added to them. The Higglepoof Heros would go out every few months, and return with more treasures, and more stories would be told of their exploits.
    Twitch and the Higglepoof Heroes are living large off of their findings. They are careful not to be followed, or talk about their adventures too much, as the truth of the matter is, all the treasure they are returning with comes from one great burial chamber, and they carefully select what to bring back to Argate with them, and they also restock the burial vault with items that they originally took out, like coins and jewelry, or they buy new things with their wealth to make it look like they have found more treasure.
