Uncane Damcel

The Duchess of Ysward is a very wealthy Half-elf. Her lands, including those of her vassals have been reaping the rewards of uninterrupted development and growth since the Duchy was formed.
Uncane has also been Duchess over all of this for longer than many people have lived. She is now entering her 70th year in power, having taken over when her father and mother dies at sea when she was 24 years old.  She made some mistakes at first, like all new rulers, but she has learned from them, and made corrections as needed.
She is strong of will, but not bull-headed. She listens to her advisors and is thoughtful before making a decision, but once she has made a decision she goes all in on it, until it is proven to be a bad course, and then like the vast merchant fleet she oversees, she can change direction with the winds.
She has no husband, but she has taken several lovers over the years, and produced two children which she adores, and she has been grooming both of them for great things.
